IT Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven IT Manager to lead our IT department and ensure the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of IT systems, networks, and services. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the security, availability, and performance of our IT environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including managing a team of IT professionals.
  • Design, implement, and maintain hyperconverged platforms such as VXrail and Nutanix to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Manage and administer Office 365, Azure AD/AWS AD Services, and Active Directory, including GPO management, sites and services, and file/folder permissions.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2019 and 2022, ensuring the stability and security of server environments.
  • Maintain and configure networking infrastructure, including Cisco NGFS, Nexus Switches, and security groups.
  • Implement and manage server and endpoint security suites to protect our systems and data.
  • Utilize monitoring tools and technologies such as LibreNMS and Syslog to proactively monitor and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implement and manage backup technologies, including VEEAM, HYCU, and cloud-native backup configurations, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery preparedness.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to identify and implement IT improvements and optimizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide technical guidance and solutions.

Qualifications

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proven experience with hyperconverged platforms such as VXrail and Nutanix.
  • Proficiency in managing Office 365, Azure AD/AWS AD Services, and Active Directory, including GPO management, sites and services, and security configurations.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services, particularly AWS and Azure.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles, including Cisco NGFS, Nexus Switches, and security groups.
  • Familiarity with server and endpoint security suites.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and technologies, such as LibreNMS and Syslog.
  • Understanding of backup technologies and experience with disaster recovery methodologies.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with backup software, such as VEEAM, HYCU, and cloud-native backup configurations.
  • Knowledge of automation technologies, including Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience with load balancing technologies, such as Kemp Loadmaster, ITD, and Route53/Traffic Manager.
  • Understanding of cloud optimization techniques, including Fargate, FSx, Storage Gateway, and serverless configurations.
