Lineal appoints Angel Jones as Chief Information Security Officer
Dallas, USA, September 16, 2020 – Lineal Services, a global AI-enabled legal data services organisation, announced today that Angel Jones has joined the company as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), based out of Washington, DC.
A cybersecurity veteran, Angel brings over 20 years of cybersecurity experience to Lineal. In this critical role, Angel will be responsible for driving the Lineal cyber resiliency program across the organization, protecting the privacy and security of our customers, people and business.
Angels career began as a Special Agent with the U.S. Coast Guard, where he acquired the unique expertise that made him the go-to subject matter expert for complex cybersecurity matters and cyber breach investigations. Before joining Lineal, Angel served as the Chief Security Officer for Archer Systems. Prior to this, he was the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at PwC, leading a global cybersecurity practice proactively protecting clients from active cyber threats. Moreover, Angel actively serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Virginia teaching undergraduate and graduate cybersecurity courses.

Angel holds several industry certifications to include, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), Digital Forensics Certified Practitioner (DFCP) and Certified Cellebrite Operator (CCO).
Angel is an aviation enthusiast and holds an FAA commercial pilot license. He enjoys traveling with his wife and two kids for great food experiences…Pre-COVID.
