Lineal Successfully Completes SOC 2 Type II Examination & ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certification
Lineal, an AI-enabled legal technology services company, announces the successful completion of the System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II examination and continues ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification.
Lineal underwent a voluntary audit to further support their commitment to information and data security practices, ensuring policies, procedures and operations exceed all industry standards in security, availability, and confidentiality.
Since Lineal’s inception in London in 2009, they have provided a full eDiscovery service model for law firms and corporations to counter the legal profession’s most pressing issues through an optimal blend of advanced technologies and global service. Lineal Services leverages core applications, Relativity and Nuix, which are multiuser applications that enable the processing and delivery of eDiscovery services (data analytics, data hosting and data processing), managed document review, and digital forensics (data collection, data recovery, cell site analysis).

A SOC 2 report is generated by the third-party audit and is often the primary document that security departments rely upon to assess a vendor’s security risk. Created by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 reports assure customers and other business partners that security guidelines are in place and being utilized to protect all data and information. A SOC 2 report can include up to five categories, known as the Trust Service Criteria: security, availability, confidentiality, processing integrity and privacy.
In addition, ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is an information security management system standard published in October 2013 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Lineal has implemented several security measures and countermeasures that protect it from unauthorized access or compromise and IT personnel were found to be conscientious and knowledgeable in best practices.
